Make sure your child signs up for the Superkid Adventure Obstacle Course presented by Direct Mail Solutions. This is a fun, challenging test of strength and superhero power for the kids...perfect for ages 5-10.
We'll have local mascots participating and cheering your kids on as they run through the course. See below for a map of the adventure course!
2012 Race Highlights
A variety of post-race brunch options will be available for purchase from RVA Street Foodies food trucks. Enjoy savory crepes, falafel, and grits from Mosaic Café; chicken and waffles, wraps and sandwiches from Tarrant’s Café; or breakfast burritos with all the fixings from Chupacabra. A portion of the proceeds from food sales will benefit Children’s Hospital Foundation.
By participating in this event, you are a superhero for the children cared for at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU—so you should dress the part! All participants are encouraged to complete the walk/run course in their favorite superhero costume. Fly solo as Superman, join a team as one of the Avengers, or invent your own hero and matching costume! Judges along the race course will award a best costume prize following the race.
Registration for the Four Mile Walk/Run is $25 before September 6 or $35 after. The first 1000 registrants will receive a race t-shirt and goody bag. The Superkid Adventure Obstacle Course is $10 on or before September 6 or $15 after. Registration for the Superkids Adventure Obstacle Course includes a superhero cape, participation ribbon and goody bag.
